Stick-Man: Pt III - sick to the stomach

Ah yes. I definitely remember days like this. I'm sure over Christmas many of you will suffer many of them. Well I did my time, and here's the proof, but much to Bif's constant disappointment I won't be having any morning afer's this Christmas.
Recent conversation with Bif, at a party:
Bif: "You should start drinking again."
Me: "Eh? Why?"
Bif: "Coz giving up hasn't done anything for you."
Yes and of course Bif was the life and soul of that little soirée...
Nah... I'll stick with my Barry's Tea thank you. :)

I'm sure there was a context for that particular exchange.
well, if you can remember context other than party, you drinking, me not, I'd be interested to hear it!
Well now you're just taking advantage because you know I shouldn't be able to. However I do believe I was being really obnoxious about you not really being all together that successful.
What? Successful at WHAT exactly??? And what was giving up drinking supposed to make me successful at other than being sober???
Freak.
I think my point was that it's better to be drunk and unsuccessful than it is to be sober and unsuccessful. And why else would you give up drinking if it wasn't to improve your life.
what metric are you using to measure 'success'?
Surely the question is what metric I was using then?
