Notes: Mail Order Bride..?
I like that. I tried to reflect the difference in the artwork too. I think I succeeded, though maybe not as much as I would have liked. We were a little worried that it was so obscure that no one would get it, but I think that Bif's title for the cartoon gives the much needed hint at what the gag is.
Besided, if no one gets it, I'll still be proud of it as the most obscure BifSniff cartoon to date. Plus I think it's good for us to try different stuff, in fact I'd like to experiment more as we go on. Try out different ideas, maybe even totally different styles from time to time.
So anyway, I hope we're just too cautious, I hope everyone thinks it's as funny as I do.

Jesus that one's fairly obscure alright. the stylistic difference was interesting though, and instantly apparent.
I don't think having the guy being called 'frank' helps, though maybe that's just because I'm thinking of all the autobiographical comics you (/we) used to do.
It took me a while to interpret it, at one point I was thinking 'yeah, I can't understand my wife, the way she runs up so many bills either.'
I don't think there's any harm in making people have to work on interpreting it a bit though. I did like it all in all.
It might just be saying something about me but your initial interpretation didn't even occur to me.
Yeah, I was kind of curious to see if Frank would put himself in there. Still that's probably what frank will look like when he's fifty.
You'd probably be surprised at how obscure some of the others are before Frank gets involved.
Have to say my initial impression was something else too but it didn't take too long for the coffee to kick in.
A play on Mail and Male order bride may have been another alternative!
Frank, a you’d look well with a nose tickler, must dash…
you aren't funny. stop.
Well it's always good to hear from the all-knowing overseer of everything humorous. Is that your real name, anonymous?
Well, it was well-drawn, at least. Honestly, I pride myself as being a sharp tack for punchlines, and this one blew by me. Perhaps it was the curious run-on-sentence structure...or the way that the door was missing a knob. Actually, the more I stare at the panel, the more I'm reminded that it's time to pay the bills.
P.S. I still don't get it.
Well, whatever about not getting the punchline, there is clearly a door handle there.
