It's extremely late here, so my notes will be short and sweet! You may have noticed that
this weeks cartoon is rather different to our usual style.
Bif sent me the wording as per usual, and I started in to doing a fairly standard BifSniff cartoon. Only I couldn't get it right. I did three or four sketches, and none of them were working. It was in complete frustration that I scrapped the usual style and did something completely different.
But I think it works. I've been talking to Bif recently about taking new directions anyway, and if the reaction to this weeks cartoon isn't complete and utter revulsion than maybe we will start taking more chances and making some more unusual choices for the cartoons as we go forward.
Anyway, it's time for me to get a few hours sleep... hope you enjoy the change of style - do let us know what you think!

Firstly, apologies for the lack of posting here lately, but I have to admit that posting will be sparse for a while... I have become involved in several projects, both online and offline which are eating up my time, but which pay better than BifSniff.com :P
Anyway, back to the issue at hand, notes for
this weeks cartoon...
I haven't been all that happy with the last couple of illustrations, although I think the jokes carried the weaker artwork, so that worked out ok in the end. This week, although I was still under pressure, I think I produced an illustration closer to the calibre I hope you've come to expect of late.
Of course it is Paddy's day today and so we felt compelled to produce a topical cartoon! Don't expect any
musings from Bif today by the way, I think it's safe to assume he'll be tucked away in a pub somewhere - although hopefully by mid afternoon he'll be too far gone to be thinking of fighting anyone... :P

Bif noted I hadn't posted any notes on the process of doing
this week's cartoon... he surmised I was too busy, which in a way is true... I got the cartoon done really late last night and was too tired to post any notes. But that's only half the truth really. I was also suffering some artistic insecurity and thought that the illustration was a bit crap.
That pissed me off a bit because I thought Bif had come up with a good one, and I should have done it more justice. But sometimes they just don't come out the way you intend.
I decided to wait before posting any notes I'd regret as it was late and tiredness can result in negativity... Looking at it tonight in a fresh and slightly less tired light, I don't think it's as bad as I convinced myself last night...
Like Bif, I think Clive is a great character though... he first appeared in
Inner Children and then made another appearance in
A Destructive Personality...
Well, I'm off to get some sleep, it's late again...
