Well, no World Cup today, so I suppose I've no excuse for not posting something. We started doing cartoons for Irish Election. We'll be doing them weekly - probably every Monday. Of course, if you know nowt about Irish politics you probably won't get them. But there you go.
Someone commented on the look on Frank's face in the latest funny cartoon and I have to agree. Sometimes I think Frank just seems to capture something that gives a cartoon that little extra subtext, which just makes them funnier. I genuinely think that could hang some of them on your wall, without the captions, and people would still appreciate them.
Ok, I didn't think I'd be back before the World Cup was over but, rest assured, this will be a very short and ill-informed post. Apparently you can now get BifSniff Cartoons on your mobile (cell) phone or PDA. It's been done by a crowd called Plusmo, who seem to be delivering feeds and stuff to phones or mobile devices. It's the first I heard of them but if anyone's using it, let us know how the cartoons look. Nice idea anyway by the look of it.
There are so many interesting things I could be talking about now, that it's a genuine shame that the World Cup is about to start and there's about a gnats chance in hell you'll hear from me before it's over. I'm sure you're all gutted.
Well, since we can throw up youtube stuff, I might as well do it. Never heard of Mitch Hedberg until he died but there you go - pretty funny fella though.
Emmet sent me on some screencaps from our soon to be finished short film - Building A House. To the left is, of course, John - our surly sheep anti-hero. I think that picture captures his character perfectly - reminds of a Tom Waits song actually. Not any one song in particular - just a Tom Waits song.
Below, we have Fessington - the pieces protagonist, if you could call him that.
I'm struggling with a brutal hangover today, so I'll post up a few more tomorrow or early next week. You can leave any messages of encouragement for Emmet here - you know this sensitive artist types and their fragile egos.
